In light of the current situation and to protect staff and the patients we care for, we have introduced all necessary measures and will be monitoring our bookings and patients closely.
- We would ask patients to attend their appointment with ONLY one support person and leave children and other family members at home
- We send a COVID-19 Check-up SMS to patients 2 days prior to their appointments
- We ask patients to call the reception upon arrival, but remain in their cars and we will contact them to come up when our sonographers are ready to take them in.
- We have reduced the number of chairs in our waiting room to ensure there are not more than 4 people at one time (2 patients and 2 support persons).
- We maintain the highest standards of disinfection for all rooms using products that are safe for pregnant women but ensure eradication of all viruses including COVID19.
- Upon arrival, we will take patients and their support persons’ temperatures and will note this on their files
- Aqium hand sanitisers are available at the reception area as well as each room.
We will continue to monitor this situation closely and will ensure that our practice remains consistent with the best possible standards to protect our staff and our patients. We aim to continue to provide the highest level of obstetric ultrasound care during this challenging time.
We know that pregnant women are particularly vulnerable to the pressures on health care services and will endeavour to continue to provide timely services.
It is recommended that all Australians download the COVIDSafe app. This app speeds up the process of contact tracing for people exposed to Coronavirus and helps to slow the spread of COVID-19 to family, friends and our community.
